Important: Prizes and your submission selections!
We're excited to see all of your applications by the deadline, and are sending this important update to ensure you tag your submission properly for all of the various prizes.
1) Open Source: To be eligible for the Best Open Source App prizes, your application MUST be made open source AND use at least one of these open source Facebook products: React, React Native, React VR, Caffe2, Fresco, Litho, ComponentKit Yoga, GraphQL, Relay. Include a link to your open repo.
2) Other prizes: To be eligible for any prize OTHER than the Best Open Source App prize, your application must use at least one of these products: Login, Account Kit, Analytics, Messenger.
You may use tools from both categories, but in order to be eligible for the open source prize, your application must be made open source.
Please make sure to answer the questions accurately relating to which tools you used, and whether your app has been made open source.
3) Best App by Student Team: You must be:
A) currently enrolled in at least six credits or two courses, or the equivalent at the time of entry (or must have been enrolled in such credits or courses within the past six months);
OR
B) have graduated in the six months prior to the date of entry from either a secondary school or functional equivalent, or an accredited post-secondary institution (e.g., university, community college, technical college).
4) Is your app New or Existing? Applications must be newly created by the Entrant or, if the Application existed prior to the Contest Period, must have integrated new Facebook tools or deepened the existing integration during the Contest Period. Ensure you check off the appropriate selection, and if it was existing, explain how it has been updated.
5) Large Organization: If you are submitting on behalf of an organization with more than 50 employees, select that option in order to be eligible for the Large Organization Recognition prize.
Please make sure you read the rules for other eligibility requirements, and happy hacking!
